Growing kids would have varying fashion styles. You surely cannot continue choosing and buying clothes for your children for the rest of their lives. You might be surprised but your children are already developing their own personal sense of style earlier that you think they could. Even your toddler could already have his own preference in what clothes to wear – just watch your daughter squirm uncomfortably when you put that frilly lace layered dress on her or observe how fuss-free dressing up time is when you put that cotton jersey on her. Clearly, your daughter is already making her choice felt. Playing dress up is also almost always part of a child’s growing up years. The way they pick their “characters” and looks would reveal their own personality and style.
You can turn your wardrobe shopping into a great bonding experience between you and your child. You can try to influence the way your child’s fashion sense turns out by browsing through fashion spreads and pointing out fashion styles you want to infuse into your child’s style. It would be a fun activity to pick out entire looks and shop around to look for items to achieve the look that you and your child both like. This will help both you and your child to see which looks work best and which ones simply do not look good at all. Infusing style into your child’s fashion this way will allow you to still have some control over how your child dresses and will allow you to steer her fashion style into the right direction which is one that is current, stylish, affordable, and age-appropriate.
